Summer is short here in New England... and many of our groups take a break for the season to enjoy unstructured time with their family and friends. Join us this September for the start up of many exciting groups including: Alpha; The Mom's Group (with free childcare); The Marriage Course; Men's study on the Book of Matthew; Going Deeper Series- Faithful, Abundant, True; Friday Evening Parenting Group ; Working through the Bible group study; and several other women's study groups. | A Beautiful Mind-Women's Study | This 5-session DVD study by dynamic Bible study teacher, Beth Moore, will help women Reclaim our right in Christ to be a free, healthy and whole person, Replace a spirit of fear with the Spirit of Christ and Renew our mind by living on the word of God. | Adult Grief Support Group | The Grief/ Bereavement Group will provide a supportive and caring environment to explore life after the loss of a loved one and the questions that remain. This group is open to adults who are feeling overwhelmed by their loss. We will be going through the grief process together, sharing our stories and supporting each other. This group will consist of 8 sessions, spanning over 8 weeks. Cost of attendance is $15 per participant, per session. | Amy Runge (508-479-0949) |
| Alpha | Alpha is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in a relaxed, friendly setting. The Alpha course meets once per week for 10 weeks and includes an amazing one-day getaway. Each session, people enjoy great food, laughter and learning in a fun and friendly atmosphere where no question about life or God is seen as too simple or too hostile…questions like — Is there a God? | Alpha Intro Dinner | Come check out for yourself what Alpha is about at this informational gathering. Dinner is delicious and free! Tuesday September 21st at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. | Bible Study | Going Through the Bible – If you are interested in starting in on a bible study – this group is for you! No previous experience is necessary. They will be jumping into 1 Samuel. | BRUAB-Women's Study | BRUAB (Begin to Read, Understand, and Apply the Bible) – Did you ever: want to read the Bible but just didn’t know where to start, start reading the Bible and not understand what you just read, or after reading from the Bible couldn’t figure out how it applied to your life? Well this group is for you! Join Mary Campbell on Thursday evenings in Room 101 for this low-key, yet instructional study. | Forging Friendships-Berlin Orchards | This is a dynamic group for young couples, with or without children, who meet monthly for a fun activity. Some events are adults only while others are for the entire family to enjoy. Please feel free to join us once, every now and then, or every month! September 11th we will meet at 1 p.m. to travel to Berlin Orchards in Berlin, MA. We’ll pick apples; go on a hayride and get ice cream after. | Kids' Zone | Where Fun, Friends and Faith Come Together! Kids from 5 years old through fifth grade are welcome to join us on Friday nights as we sing, play games, make tasty snacks, create special projects and explore Bible stories in wild and wacky ways. | Moms' Group | The Moms’ Group- The Moms’ group will begin meeting again this year on Friday, September 17th at 9:30 a.m. Free childcare is provided. The Moms’ group starts its day with a quick ˝ hour of exercise (usually a nice neighborhood walk, or a short stretching DVD) followed by a study that all moms can learn from, and relate to. The Group also also likes to incorporate a few “field trip” type activities to do together as a group with children, as well as a few “Mommy” field trips (a movie, dinner out maybe a breakfast). This year will start with a study entitled “Do You Think I'm Beautiful?" by Angela Thomas, a study that helps women close the gap between the life they have and the life they long for. In this DVD-based study, you will find the heartfelt answers you seek—that God loves and accepts you unconditionally and without hesitation, no matter where you are in your walk with Him. | Young Men's Discipleship | Pastor Paul will be leading a 6-week group for men in their 20’s and 30’s on Thursday nights. We will be using Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5-7 to see how we can be better leaders in the various parts of out lives.
